Fátima Hajji — Fabrik

Aftermovie of Fátima Hajji's night at Fabrik, shot on 17 January 2026. The aim of a piece like this is that anyone who wasn't there understands within a minute why they should have been: the artist, the venue and the crowd, told at the pace of the set itself, not as a list of separate shots.

The challenge of a live aftermovie sits as much in the edit as in the shoot: the whole set has to be covered without knowing in advance which moments will work, and that energy then has to be rebuilt in a format far shorter than the real night. That means staying alert through the whole set, not just the predictable moments.

We shot with the delivery already in mind: the master was recorded at 3840×2880 at 25p, open-matte, so the horizontal version and the vertical social cuts come out of the same footage without re-editing from scratch or losing resolution when reframing. It's the same format decision taken on any aftermovie at the studio.

Fabrik is also one of the clubs the crew has worked several nights running, which means arriving at each new session already knowing the room's light and the camera positions that work best — an aftermovie shot the first time you set foot somewhere doesn't have that advantage.
