GORDO — Lebanon

Multicam recording of GORDO's set in Lebanon, outdoors and at night, on 15 August 2026. Live booth coverage has to do two things at once: capture the whole performance properly, with no gaps, and provide the best moments for social media afterwards without re-editing the whole master each time.

The technical challenge with this kind of stage is balancing the LED wall behind with the far less lit artist, so neither gets lost: a camera exposed for the screen leaves the artist almost in shadow, and one exposed for the artist blows out the screen until the visual content being projected is lost. It is solved through exposure and camera placement, decided before the set begins rather than adjusted on the fly once the show is live.

The master was recorded at 3840×2160 at 25p, with the booth and the screen in the same frame: a framing decision that lets the later edit choose between showing the whole scene or cropping onto the artist without losing resolution. Outdoors and at night, there also aren't the same ambient light references as in an enclosed club, so the camera plan leans almost entirely on the show's own light sources.
